A camera lens so wide-angle it can see behind itself

First introduced in 1970 by Nikon at the Photokina exhibition, a 10lb camera lens offering 220º field-of-view goes on sale for £100,000. This 6mm f2.8 lens was initially designed for scientific use and was never really put into production. It was only made available to special order.
