If you're a MacBook user and have been looking to expand your notebook's storage capacity, you probably feel out of luck. You either have to dish out couple of hundred dollars to buy the model with the larger drive or go for a DIY solution that most likely involves the warranty being voided.
But here's a nifty solution. The Nifty MiniDrives are an affordable way to expand the storage capacity of your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air by using its SD card slot. A microSD card is inserted into the Nifty MiniDrive, which is then placed in the SD card slot. While an SD card would stick out from the MacBook, the Nifty MiniDrive is designed to sit flush, becoming a semi-permanent feature of the computer.
Note that it can support microSD cards up to 2TB, although 64GB is the largest capacity currently available on the market.
